History : The name of this village is of Celtic origin (perhaps from the Old French “Viron”, recalling the curve [virage in French] located at the entry of the village). 4 km from the center Evreux, in the hills of northern plateau, the village stretches between the forest and the Gravigny Evreux.
Monument : The Castle of Garambouville (private property) is a stone and brick building dating back to the 16th century in its oldest parts. It was once surrounded by deep ditches and defended by walls flanked by towers.
